Student veterans recognized at annual Honor Cord Reception

Athens, Ga. – Thirty-three University of Georgia student veterans were given honor cords during the Student Veterans Resource Center’s annual Honor Cord Reception at the Tate Student Center on April 27. Students receiving scholarships and designations from Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges were also recognized.

UGA President Jere Morehead presented the red, white, and blue commemorative cords to the graduating students, who will have the option of wearing them during commencement ceremonies on May 5.
